The Sewanee Summer Music Festival could not function without the tremendous dedication of our volunteers. In 2012, more than 50 individuals donated their time and skills. Our volunteer crews assist patrons and students, help with concerts and lunches, and make many of our day-to-day operations possible. Are you interested in joining our team? Pre Festival Events:

Alumni Relations Project: In order to start connecting and developing our alumni, we are attempting to convert all of our paper files and contact information into a digital database. This project will consist of data entry and culling, sorting, and applying alumni information to potential communication efforts.

Promotion & Public Relations Project: In order to successfully saturate and raise awareness in the surrounding communities around the Sewanee Summer Music Festival marketing materials and concert schedules need to be distributed. This project will consist of passing out, spreading, and soliciting businesses to promote SSMF events within a two hour radius of Sewanee.

Pre-Festival Set Up Project: In order to successfully prepare for the arrival of almost 200 students musicians and 30 faculty, a tremendous amount of scheduling and implementation must be pursued. This project will consist of the physical preparation of all spaces to house this unique program on the campus of the University of the South.
