2017 graduate and WGS minor Walker Buxton has spent the summer traveling in Mongolia with her grandfather--anthropologist Jack Weatherford. Walker's scholarly interest in women's political representation and participation led her to seek out interviews with female politicians in Mongolia. She was able to interview the most prominent female politician in Mongolia today, member of Parliament Ts. Oyungerel. Walker hopes to interview additional women in Mongolian politics over the course of her trip.
